Answer: Traditional laminate flooring is generally not recommended for full bathrooms or kitchen areas prone to continuous water accumulation. Although the surface wear-resistant layer is waterproof, the edge lock area is a weak point. Once water seeps into the HDF core material, it will cause irreversible expansion damage. But:
You can choose laminate flooring products clearly marked as "waterproof" (using specially treated core materials and tight sealing clips).
Any spilled liquid must be thoroughly dried immediately.
In the kitchen, avoid laying it directly beneath the dishwasher and refrigerator (which may leak). Place absorbent floor MATS at the door.
For true "wet areas" (around the shower room and bathtub), it is strongly recommended to choose SPC/WPC (stone plastic flooring) or tiles, as they are completely waterproof.
