SPC Flooring: The 'Cold' Reality Behind Waterproof Construction
Five major drawbacks of SPC flooring
Hard and cold foot feel: The stone plastic core material feels hard and cold when stepped on (especially in winter), and it is easy to get tired after standing for a long time.
Obvious noise: Floating MATS are prone to making "thumping" sounds (especially high heels/pet claws), and you need to pay extra to buy a soundproof pad.
Selecting the foundation: If the ground is slightly uneven or has any particles, it will immediately "imprint" concave and convex marks! The leveling must be perfect before installation.
Containing PVC: The core contains plastic (PVC), which is less environmentally friendly than solid wood/bamboo and is difficult to recycle after being discarded.
Hard to repair: Single-piece damage? Half a room has to be demolished! It cannot be polished or refurbished. Scratches/dents basically have to be endured or replaced completely.
Applicable scenarios: High humidity (bathrooms/kitchens), rental properties, commercial Spaces - waterproofing is the key!
Choose the scene carefully: families that care about foot feel, are afraid of noise, and love natural materials.
